  • Love, Upgrades, and Early Openings: December 2023 Newsletter
    Wray Valley on Dartmoor celebrates their first newsletter with exciting updates: a civil partnership, accolades at the Devon Tourism Awards, and a B&B reopening a month early. The venue invites guests for private events and offers local flavors and evening feasts. The newsletter also announces upcoming events and experiences, including the Nearly Wild Camping Club members weekend. Congratulations to feedback questionnaire prize draw winner, Frankie Shaxted.
  • Dartmoor accommodation for the whole family
    If you’re planning to spend your next family holiday on Dartmoor, you’re in for a treat. With wide open spaces to explore, beautiful rivers to splash in and some of the best family days out you could wish for, Dartmoor offers everybody the chance to be together and experience the type of holiday they enjoy. There are plenty of Dartmoor family days out available (we’ve listed a few below) but we all know the key to a happy family holiday is getting the accommodation right. With so many needs and tastes to cater for, that isn’t always easy.
  • Upgrading the Guest Lounge
    We were very busy in December 2022 upgrading the guest lounge. We installed underfloor insulation and heating and replaced the tired old carpet with laminate. It also got new curtains and lampshades.

    We’ve been very busy during lockdown. Our latest project was to plant up a new orchard at the top of our camping field. Its got 12 apple trees, a good mix of eaters, cookers and cider apples plus 2 plums and a pear and closer to the house we’ve got two pears and a plum.

    Six new guests arrive to stay We picked up 6 ex-battery hens from the British Hen Welfare Trust on a hot day two weeks ago.  They were initially very timid, pallid and a bit the worse for wear with lots of feathers missing. They have been gradually building up confidence and developing their individual characters.
