We are on Google and Apple Maps both as Wray Valley B&B and as Wray Valley Camping
Directions
By Road
- From the South (A38 and Bovey Tracey) – we are about 2 miles north of the turning to Lustleigh – look out for Pepperdon Mine on your right and we are shortly after on the left. The campsite entrance is 80m after the B&B entrance.
- From the North (Moretonhampstead) – we are on the right 1.5 miles after Bradford Building Supplies and 0.7 miles after Wray Barton Manor. If you are camping and miss the campsite entrance – don’t panic! Simply park at the B&B, check in and move your car back to the campsite if requested.
Like a lot of rural addresses, the post code TQ13 9SN covers a large area and most satnavs will place you about half a mile south of us on the A382 – keep going if coming from the south!
By Bus
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK ALONG THE A382 ROAD TO US. Use the Wray Valley Trail instead.
- Via A382 (from Moretonhampstead or Bovey Tracey) – it will stop here if you ask it to when you get on and then press the button when getting close. They are “hail and ride” buses so you do not have to go to an official bus stop. The nearest offical bus stop is Wray Barton so you can use that for timings. If you accidentally get off at Wray Barton make your way onto the Wray Valley Trail.
- From Moretonhampstead – Make your way onto the Wray Valley Trail.
- Look out for the sign opposite the Co-op and head downhill on Pound Street. At the junction keep heading straight ahead downhill. At the bottom of the hill the road crosses a stream and the Trail is on the left shortly afterwards.
- Head downhill on Station Road (past the White Hart). Enter the relatively new Hingston View housing development on your right. Follow the obvious road round to the left and you will see a path to the right to a fence – this leads to the community orchard which connects to the Wray Valley Trail
Check out our Sustainable Transport page for more information on buses.
On the Wray Valley Trail
- From the south – look out for the end of the long wall and impressive gates – that’s not us but we are shortly after it heading north! Look out for our sign on the right
- From the north – shortly after you enter the woods the trail opens out into a logging area which is the start of our land on the left. About 100m further look our for our sign on the left. If you get to the big wall and impressive gates you’ve gone too far.
Follow the small woodland path to the wooden footbridge over the Wray Brook. Continue on the obvious path past our polytunnel and into our garden. Walk up to the car parking area and come to reception at the front door to check in.
