Devon Tourism Awards and Sustainability Recognition: A Glance Back and Forward
In November, we attended the Devon Tourism Awards Ceremony as finalists and were honoured with a Bronze for the B&B and a Silver for the campsite. Though up against larger and longer-running businesses, we were pleased with the accolades. However, we aim to do even better next year.

Disappointingly, we were not finalists in the sustainability category, and we’ve taken this as a challenge to articulate our eco-friendly practices more clearly. The winner in this category was a luxury new-build treehouse designed from scratch to be eco-friendly. While not feasible within the National Park where new builds are rarely permitted, we look forward to the feedback in February.
Community News: Lustleigh Irregulars Games Club at Wray Valley!
Since the Cleave Inn in Lustleigh switched to its winter opening times, the Lustleigh Irregulars Games Club has been meeting in our Guest Lounge every alternate Monday night.
The additional lighting has been much appreciated and aided reading the very small print on some of the cards!

Heating Upgrade Complete: B&B Reopening a Month Early!
If you’ve been following us on social media you’ll know we’ve been busy upgrading the insulation and heating in the guest bedrooms. We’re delighted to share that we’ve nearly completed the work with just a few finishing touches to go. As a result, we’re reopening our Bed & Breakfast a month earlier than planned at the end of January!
Now, you can escape to Wray Valley and indulge in the cozy comfort of our Riverside B&B on Dartmoor in winter. Look out for the detailed update on all the work by the end of January.

Join the Adventure: Nearly Wild Camping Club Members Weekend
Calling all Nearly Wild Club Members! Join us for a weekend of wilderness exploration with the Nearly Wild Camping Club members weekend which we are hosting on 5-7 April. Camp under the stars, connect with fellow members, and experience the beauty of Dartmoor’s wooded valleys. Spaces are limited, so book your spot for an unforgettable outdoor experience. If April is a bit early for you to camp, you can stay in the B&B and still join in the activities. And don’t forget that Nearly Wild Camping Club members get a discount all year on our camping fees.
